Measuring Osmolality via Classic Freezing-point Method

The MedIntegrity FPOSM-V3.0 freezing-point osmometer employs the globally pharmacopoeia-recognized freezing-point depression method as its core detection principle. In accordance with Raoult’s freezing-point theory, the freezing-point depression of a solution maintains a stable proportional relationship with the solute molality. Equipped with highly sensitive temperature sensing elements, the instrument captures subtle changes in sample freezing points and automatically calculates osmolality values. Test results comply with international pharmacopoeia standards including USP and EP.

For equipment operation and user experience, the instrument runs on a stable Linux operating system and features a 10-inch high-definition touchscreen. The intuitive interface displays sample freezing-point values and osmolarity results in real time for clear data presentation. It supports sample entry in Chinese, English and numeric formats to accommodate diversified scenarios for domestic pharmaceutical R&D, production and overseas export projects.

Reliable Detection with Flexible Calibration

The FPOSM-V3.0 freezing-point osmometer integrates high-sensitivity sensors. Its measurement error, repeatability and linearity are controlled within ≤1%. It supports single-point or up to 31-point linear calibration covering the full range of 0~3000 mOsmol/kg, ensuring stable results for samples at high and low concentrations.

Low Sample Consumption and Short Test Cycle

A single test requires only 100 μL sample volume, which is well suited for scarce small-biotest samples during formulation screening. Pre-cooling and single measurement can be finished within 3 minutes. Batch continuous testing is supported to improve laboratory testing throughput.

Coolant-free Cooling System Reduces Maintenance Burden

The cooling system uses a heat-conducting-fluid-free design. No frequent refilling or replacement of conductive liquid is required, cutting consumable costs and daily maintenance workload for laboratory staff.

Large Local Storage & Compact Footprint

The instrument locally stores up to 300,000 test records to facilitate data archiving and traceability for long-term projects and multi-batch samples, meeting ALCOA+ and 21 CFR Part 11 data integrity requirements. With compact dimensions of 340 × 300 × 400 mm, it fits on standard laboratory benches and saves workspace.

User-friendly Interface Adapted to Global Sample Naming

Powered by Linux OS with a 10-inch color touchscreen, the interface displays freezing-point values and osmolality simultaneously. Sample names can be input in Chinese, English and numeric forms to satisfy naming requirements for global projects.
